Yesterday, Monday February 11, 2013, when we reported to work, we were all called into an emergency meeting by our top executives. Our President had been watching the famous 60 minutes news program the night before, and was absolutely shocked to see the below report. We in turn were asked to watch it as well. It is a little under 13 minutes long and I highly suggest you watch it too. Click here.
Steve Kroft, one of 60 minutes senior news correspondent found out that the three major credit bureaus, Experian, Equifax and Trans Union have an error rate of nearly 20% when it comes to things on your credit reports that are either false or inaccurate.
Not only that, in talking with some attorneys that have sued these three credit bureaus, they stated that these companies would rather pay out $1 million in settlements, than to change their policies on how they conduct business.
He went on to say that 1 in 5 reports have errors in them and 1 in 10 has an error in it that could lower your credit score. Worst of all, there is nothing you can do about it, as these companies simply ignore your online or written requests for help. In turn, they try and sell you their products such as credit protection, which is where they make their revenue.
We strongly urge you to stop and watch this short video so you know exactly what is happening with your credit score and why your head might be spinning when you go to get things like this repaired.
