Even though Nationwide Debt Reduction, Inc. is a Christian company, we would like to offer you some Christian advice on debt settlement companies. While many folks believe that doing business with a Christian debt settlement company is a lot safer than say a secular company, and by all means it should be, you should still do your homework. Therefore, let’s take a brief look into what we are talking about.
To begin with, debt relief companies, regardless of their background or religious affiliation, should be viewed in the same light. Ultimately, do they do the job they say they are going to do? Doing business with other people’s money involves a great amount of trust and a highly sensitive subject. Unfortunate circumstances sometimes lead people to make quick or rash decisions. Do not let that happen to you.
To be unscrupulous or unfaithful, regardless of your background is, in the eyes of the Lord is a sin. That is why we suggest people in need of debt relief services do their homework first, and see for them what kind of company they are dealing with. Then they can make a more trusting decision on what would work best for them.
One of the best ways we have found to check up on a company is through companies such as the Better Business Bureau (BBB). Before, 2008, any debt settlement company that wanted to become a member of the Better Business Bureau simply had to fill out a form and submit their annual fee with the BBB to become a member. That all changed in 2009, when the National Director of the BBB, told its state affiliates that not only could debt settlement companies no longer be members, they were going to get an unfavorable rating.
So, even though Nationwide Debt Reduction is not a paying member of the BBB, we still hold an “A” rating with them. There are a multitude of factors that go into how the BBB rates a company on a scale of A thru F. However, the silver lining in all of this is that the BBB still reports the number of complaints a company has had against it. We believe this is the best reflection of how a business is conducting itself. In the past fourteen (14) years, Nationwide Debt Reduction has only had one complaint against it, and this was simply an advertising glitch we experienced. That issue was resolved relatively quickly and in a satisfactory manner.
Therefore, regardless of the company affiliation, the best background check you can do is to look at the independent rating of the company through the Better Business Bureau rating. It is in here that the truth will be told.
